Fogo is translated to mean ‘Fire' in Portuguese, which is a common theme throughout the Madeira brand.  Fire and heat are used in a special treatment process which is how we achieve the rich dark espresso tones throughout this wood.  Completely natural process where no dyes, lacquers or chemicals are used.  The dark color is cooked into the wood and leaves a slight smoky aroma. Made from solid pieces of wood which make them strong and solid.  Perfect for tools and entertaining.
