Requires (3) AA batteries (included). The ON/DEMO/LIGHT switch is located on the bottom of the base. Move switch to the ON position to activate LED lights and play full version of the music. Please note this item plays 8 different Christmas melodies when in the "ON" position. Switch to the DEMO position to activate the Try-Me feature and then press the Try-Me button for a short version demonstration. Place the switch into the LIGHT position for LED Lights only (no music).
