This 100 pack of Stainless Steel wood Screws are an essential component of the Tahoe Slipfence Privacy Fencing system. These stainless screws must be used over any other wood screw or the Tahoe Slipfence Warranty is void. The reason for this is that these screws have been specially treated with a black coating by the manufacturer and are warranted against chipping and flakng. These screws are a 8 x ¾ Phillips drive Deep Thread wood screw with a type 17 in a 18.8 Stainless Steel. The type 17, means that the screw comes with a shank slot removed from the tip of the screw to eliminate the potential risk of splitting or cracking when inserting the screw into wood that has less moisture than standard. With the slot, the wood has a place to move when the screw is forced into the wood. Custom manufactured specifically to fit the thickness of a fence board so there is no pointed end sticking out on the other side. 100 wood screws are required for each 8' fence section.
